Looking for new talent

With its 80 exhibitors, 60 speakers and 3000 participants, Data Job is certainly one of the most important recruitment trades fairs in which namR has ever participated. We were there simultaneously to meet new persons, to interchange with other actors of data and to recruit new talents.

There, 4 members of our team, a Data Scientist, a Developer, a member of the HR team and one from the technical team. They were animating our booth and have answered to all candidates’ questions looking for an internship or of a job. On our side, we were looking for different profiles: a Data Engineer, a Data Scientist, a Full Stack Developer and a Python Developer.

Taking into account the exponential growth of the data market, the recruitment in this branch raises some issues. The difficulty is critically at the level of confirmed candidates or those in the pipeline, still too few in number to respond to the increase of demand. That’s the reason why we recruit both experienced profiles and interns that we train and take under our wing. We do not have to forget that the data professions, linked to the birth of Big Data, 7 years ago, is still new.

The most important part of our day was then dedicated to the presentation of namR to those concerned. They had the opportunity to give to us their résumé or to apply later, by e-mail or on the website Welcome To The Jungle. The end of the day outcome was positive. In fact, after the examination to all the applications, many contracts were signed at namR!

The workshop Keynote of namR

Data Job put forward workshops in the form of half-an-hour conferences. In order to show a sample of the added value and high potential of namR, our team took the opportunity to give a presentation during one of the 30 conferences. The topic was: “Geolocalised and satellite data combined to AI & deep learning: how to build new non-personnal services”

The first part of that conference was dedicated to a business presentation of namR. It was then about, through these three keynotions: shape matching, rooftop segmentation and Solar Platform, to answer to a fundamental issue at namR: how to make the open data functional? In other words: how to change the abstract datas to concrete examples?

Last but not least, we will have the honor to be part of the 2019 edition among 80 companies. Save the date, Data Job 2019 will take place on November 22nd. Come to meet us there!
